Pacifica Labs, Inc. is a mobile health startup with an app that offers tools to help users with stress and anxiety. Tools are based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness. The app is available on iOS, Android and Web.

Women's health
A computer-tailored intervention.
This intervention was developed as part of a contract with Merck to encourage young women to get the HPV vaccine. The intervention was web-delivered and involved alternating assessment and response-tailored feedback.
For example, users who were low in motivation would receive content focused on educating and generating emotions around HPV and the vaccine. Users who were considering getting the vaccine may be presented with personalized plans for dealing with cognitive, logistical and emotional barriers.
Smoking
A computer-guided coaching platform
This was a national study evaluating the effectiveness of a computer-prompted health coaching intervention for smoking. The study, which was funded by NIH, involved developing coaching scripts and programming them into an interactive platform. Health coaches were guided by this interactive platform in delivering an intervention focused on increasing participants' readiness to quit. For participants who did quit during the course of the study, introducing strategies for dealing with temptation to relapse.
